  Year 2008 Activities : Academic
Orientation Programme was organized by the College on 26-06-2008 informing the students about the College and its activities at a glance.
   
An Elocution Competition was organized for the students of the College. The following students of the College won the prizes :
(1)  Shri  Ramesh Desai           
(2)  Shri Rajendrasinh Rathod
   
Students and faculty members of the College attended a special lecture of Shri Raj Joshi, Director, Crown Prosecution Services, U.K. on 14-7-2008.
   
Special lecture about the working or Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunal was organized by the College on 6-8-2008. Visiting faculty members Advocate Shri I. A. Patel and Advocate Shri Praful A. Patel appraised the students about the function of Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunal.
   
Students of the College Joshi Kaushal and Ms. C. Gayatri participated at the seminar organized by the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) on 14/15-9-2008 and presented a paper on   “IPR in Pharmaceutical Industry”.
   
Special Lecture of the environment activist closely associated with NGO Centre for Social Justice and Editor of magazine “Parvayarana Mitra” Shri Mahesh Pandya was arranged at the College on 26th August 2008 on the subject “Special Economic Zones and Labour Laws”.
   
Special lectures for are arranged to train the students about the Moot Court competition.
   
The internal examination of LL.B., DTP and DLP was taken by the College from 29-9-2008.
   
  Cultural :
Students of the College participated at the Youth Festival organized by the Gujarat University on 19-20th September, 2008. The following students of the College are selected for the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival Competition :

Students of the College participated at GLS Inter Collegiate Garba Competition organized at the Sports Club on 5-10-2008.
   
  Sports :
The College Cricket Team participated at the Gujarat University Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament.
   
Student of the College Patel Sanjaykumar Shantilal obtained third rank at the Inter-zone Judo Competition of the Gujarat University held on 23-9-2008.
   
  Extension Activities :
Blood Donation Programme was organized by the Red Cross Society at the College Campus on 5-8-2008. Students of the College voluntarily contributed in making the programme successful.
   
The Students of the College visited Lok Adalat organized by Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunal, Ahmedabad on 3-8-2008 along with a faculty member- Advocate Shri Praful A. Patel and observed the proceedings of Lok Adalat.
   
Prin. Dr. R. V. Mehta and two visiting faculty members Ms. Gauri Chandnani and Shri Umesh Majmudar contributed their services as Conciliators at the Lok Adalat organized by the Family Court, Ahmedabad on 2-10-2008.
   
A book exhibition was arranged by the College at Shri K. R. Sant Hall on 3-10-2008. All the Principals of City Campus, faculty members of the Colleges and students visited the exhibition.
 

  Moot Court  Competitions

In order to impart practical training and to get the students acquainted with the court proceedings, the College organizes moot-court competitions. The students are given special training for the moot court competitions by the faculty such as how to behave in the court room, how to address the Judges, how to present the case and how to cite the judgments of the court etc. Students are regularly participating at the intercollegiate moot-court competitions at thee state level. The students of the college have won a rotating trophy of ‘Late Shri I. M. Nanavati Inter Law Collegiate Moot Court Competition’ organized by Sir L. A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad during the year 2007-08.

 
 

 

The students of the College, C. Gayatri and Chavla Namrata won ‘Late Shri I. M. Nanavati Inter Law Collegiate Moot Court Competion, 2007-08’. Rotating Trophy was awarded by Hon’ble Mr. Justice K. M. Mehta, former Judge, High Court of Gujarat and Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. R. Shah, Judge, High Court of Gujarat.
   
  Debate and Elocution Competitions :

Debate and Elocution competitions are organized by the College to find out the best talented students.  The students of the College have participated and won prizes at the Inter-collegiate elocution and debate competitions.
